2021 is an exciting year for the U. Mint and its American Silver Eagle series, with the introduction of a new reverse design for the first time ever in its thirty-five years of release! The mid-year transition has resulted in highly collectible first and last issues for the two unique design styles with the same date of 2021, replicating a similar transition from the Morgan Dollar to the Peace Dollar exactly one hundred years ago in 1921. For the Silver Eagle, the change primarily affects the reverse, with the classic heraldic eagle graphic (Type-1) replaced by a realistic depiction of an eagle landing (Type-2).

This is a sensational 2021-W American Silver Eagle first and last set! The set includes one example of the final release of the Type-1 style coin, and one of the first year of issue Type-2 coins.

Each 40.60 mm diameter coin is struck from 1 Troy oz. Each coin is a product of the West Point Mint. The coins are minted with a dramatic proof finish.

The Type-2 style coin includes the introduction of an interrupted reeded edge design for added security. The perfectly graded proof set earned the coveted First Day of Issue designation.
