To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the publication of Raymond Briggs' much-loved festive tale The SnowmanT, a new United Kingdom Silver Proof 50p has been authorised for release. Significantly, it has a single coin edition limit of JUST 15,000. Collectors must act quickly if they want to secure this new issue. The full-colour reverse design by Natasha Ratcliffe depicts the boy and the snowman flying through the night sky above Brighton Pier.
